Leslie Gabaldón is a Venezuelan-American artist and commercial photographer in Miami, FL. With a background in photography from Broward College and fine arts from The New England School of Art and Design in Boston and The Art Students League of New York, she brings a unique vision to her personal and commercial projects. Gabaldón founded her first art studio in the DUMBO area in New York, establishing her presence in the contemporary art world early in her career.
Since 1988, she has been a trailblazer in new media, experimenting with computer-generated art and alternative mediums. Her recent body of work focuses on the natural landscapes of Florida, capturing the state’s forests and wetlands in a way that explores the growing disconnect between humanity and the natural world in the digital age. Gabaldón also addresses sustainability through her photography, using color manipulation to evoke emotional responses that resonate deeply with her audience.
